development of digital skills - facial expression
leonardo da vinci did a lot of sketches on the importance of facial expression in art. this translates to photography. these ideas of facial expression translate through time
these show how being more animated with facial expression can create more animate emotions, this can be done in photography by using a wide angle lens
i like the wide angle warped portraits as it does create an unreal but more animate portrait style.
there are many different facial expression poses for photography
but these photos are very obviously acted faces and not particularly nature.
i prefer using more natural inspiration
i think this more natural facial expression shows far more than most model photography. the use of the body the position and hands show a lot about the personality. i also notice the eyes massively. i think it is very powerfull having the eyes look straight at the camera and will use this in my piece.
it works for young people as well. the eyes are very important but also the use of light on the face is incredibly important for facial expression.
I will have to use the studio.
