building the set

start to build

we had the set design all done we new what pannels needed adding to the already exsisting set now we needed to clean the walls and put up the set.

I brough in tools for stripping the walls including sandpaper ect. it worked fairly well but took to long, that when i asked if anyone had a steamer, luckly ivan did so he went and grabbed it, we used that mostly on the other side as that side needed to be smoother. we then put the walls up. i was very fussy to make sure they were straight using a ruler when needed.

when we got it all up it looked very good and we happly went home.

the next time we got there we started puting up linning paper which we all worked together on doing. it took a while to get it good so we started on the ID side as little creases werent such a issue on that side. I prefered to spend longer to not get the creases but group decision said we should speed up.
once we got all the linning paper up on both sides we could paint

we started on the ID side putting down a base layer of gray then stippling the brown and grey to create the rusted look, they also needed to get blended together. there were 3 roles, brown stippler, grey stippler and a blender, this created the effect of old rusted paint.

after lunch there was issue.
we had agreed on green paint on the other side. they had done purple. we were upset. we thought it was a attack on us. we got excutive producer, they get arngry for not telling them, everyone of in huff, we agree to be the bigger guys and change ours to dark purple. END
