martin parr
martin parrs photography impires my work as the style and colour of his work looks very carnival cut out style. i think it creates a fantasy style of photography in a almost to fake kinda world. i think i can use this in my cardboard cut out idea as it would work with the "fake" life i want.
Martin Parr is a chronicler of our age. In the face of the constantly growing flood of images released by the media, his photographs offer us the opportunity to see the world from his unique perspective.
At first glance, his photographs seem exaggerated or even grotesque. The motifs he chooses are strange, the colours are garish and the perspectives are unusual. Parr’s term for the overwhelming power of published images is “propaganda”. He counters this propaganda with his own chosen weapons: criticism, seduction and humour. As a result, his photographs are original and entertaining, accessible and understandable. But at the same time they show us in a penetrating way how we live, how we present ourselves to others, and what we value.

Francesca woodman
i like Francesca woodman work as she explores the idea of being hidden in her photographs. the black and white works well with this. i expecially like the use of reflection in her second photograph. i like the idea of trying to hide by being shown by a reflection of yourself. i think having a wide frame is very important for this style of photography. i might use her for inspiration for my held back idea.
Francesca Stern Woodman (April 3, 1958 – January 19, 1981) was an American photographer best known for her black and whitepictures featuring either herself or female models. Many of her photographs show young women who are nude, blurred (due to movement and long exposure times), merging with their surroundings, or whose faces are obscured. Her work continues to be the subject of much critical acclaim and attention, years after she killed herself at the age of 22, in 1981

i like the idea of using a blured subject for my image to create this hidden idea.
duane michals
i like this photo as it deals with the nature of reality and reflection as i want to use reflection in my piece. i like the idea of warping images via the mirror. showing the distruptive idea of my self.
i like this image to as it shows how power txt can be. the image itself is pretty dull with not much meaning but add the txt and it become a hole other level of powerful imagry. i use this as impsiration on how much words can add or even change a meaning. this went from happy to sad with a adding of txt so i wonder if i can use txt to change the mood to.
i like this photo as it shows her dispearing in her own enviroment. i like the fadded colours and the double expsure. makes it look out of place. i want to simulate this for anxiety as it creates a stresfull image.
