i started with the ideas of themes around self portrait for me
mental
relationships
life
i then explored these ideas and through my inspirations i came on the ideas
held back
the sand is always yellower
self punishment
i then expolred these ideas and did more research and came up with my final ideas
then i had to learn photoshop to get make my ideas work.
i when to adam the technician to help with the very complicated ideas and ethan from class for genral editing
i then when to the studio to get pictures
these are the shots i did for the the sand is always yellower. i worked with the lighting for about 200 photos till i got the perfect lighting. i really like the emotion in these photos. i also work with facial expression.
these are the photos i started with for the self punishment shot. i worked with one point lighting and darker shots but i didn't like the lighting except for the last two. i decided hard lighting worked the best. i really liked the vision though and could see this idea working.
these are the shots i did for the held back idea. i really like the poses. i worked with 3 point, 2 point, and 1 point lighting. i decided the most emotive and most visual storytelling light was the 1 point....i also worked with shoting out of focus to show my anxiety and unclearness. i liked it.
i liked all 3 ideas but from these practices i decided that the self punishment as firstly it was simple but also i thought the framing and the idea was the most powerfull. i thought this would turn out the most effective for this project. i will return to the other ideas in my own time.
i then went back later in the day to do my final pics.
these are my final pictures. i really liked them and they have so much potential. i like the light ones for the body and then i was going to add the dark shadow from the dark ones. i use different type of lighting for both types of photos. i worked on on the framing and decided that having the whole of me works better, it is more like the usual suspects framing.
now i had to go do editing.
