dance film to field and frames

Big Development

our meeting with rachel

f you need a dancer - try Ros Parker, http://rosalindparker.co.uk/videos/

Priority find a dancer: email Ros and hook up for a cuppa tea! Explain your idea to her!! I think she’d be fab for you guys ros@rosalindparker.co.uk

Dancer:
How will we film the dancer itself?
Follow the dancer - close and personal

Storyboarding:
Wide shots for each scene - to establish locations
Close up of arms - reaching put
Low angle shots - so as the dancer rises - the camera is low and rises
The camera spins around the actual dancer

Work on a rough story board that shows the journey - i..e location into locations and roughly what happens in each location
The movement is reflective of that location
Mood board each reflection for the dancer - so she/he knows what the ‘feeling’ of the space is - or tkae the dancer with you on location and play in each of these locations - and ask the dancer how she/he feels in the spaces.

Whose experience is the dance re-living? is it his/her own - and therefore are the locations relevant to his/her experience - or is it from the groups own memories - and is she/he re-living your experiences?

we had contact now with a dancer

this is the link to our presentation with our idea about dance

we then met with the dancer .......

it didnt work out, we did all the right things but it was just very uncreative and felt so stiff and forced on both sides, we all decided from that awquadness that dance was not for us....

we have alway been talking about doing a animation together and now was our time,

we wanted to keep the composite style but add something narrative wise to use it.

we went home and decided on the story - i will talk more about later.

here are the final notes from the dance film
